History of Melvin Orr Trucking

In 1954 Melvin Orr took over payments on a single axle truck & massey tractor after the passing of his father. Thus starting Melvin Orr trucking. Stay small for many years grading driveways yards & gardening. Then renting out of the truck too Green giant of Canada.

In 1959 Melvin took over the snow removal for Plant 1 for Chrysler Canada. To date we continue to clear snow for Chryslers having 3 generations of Orr’s plowing for the corporation. & working in Melvin Orr Trucking location. Being a family Business Melvin’s son Terry Orr came up the ranks taking a major roll in 1999. And further pushing the landscape supply division of the company Opening to the yard to the public selling soils sand, aggregates. In 2002 we added more landscape supplies: mulches, decorative stones . Landscape rockery. flagstone Fabrics, grass seed , edging, retaining walls, pavers , We at Melvin Orr’s strive to keep the customer satisfied.

We are Essex county’s home of the 10 ft Inukshuk.
